    Amit Agrahari

    Information Technology and Systems

    Prof. Amit Agrahari is a fellow of XLRI, Jamshedpur and pursued his graduation in statistics. He teaches courses on Digital Transformation and Information Systems at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. Before joining IIM Lucknow, he worked with Infosys Technologies Limited in their research Labs (SETLabs). He co-founded the Procurement Observatory, Uttar Pradesh and a fintech incubator (SCIFI) at IIM Lucknow. As an information systems and public procurement consultant, he worked with the World Bank Group, Kolkata Port Trust, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Department of Post, Defence Research and Development Organization, Indian Army Weapons and Equipment Directorate, Indian Army Service Corps, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation, Pradeshik Cooperative Dairy Federation, Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam, and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. He received the Emerald/IAM Indian Management Research Fund Award 2015.

    Prof Amit Agrahari designed and delivered long term training programme on Digital transformation, business analytics (offered in collaboration with Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and SAS Education) and the World Bank’s Procurement Framework. These programmes have attracted senior executives from Asian, European, and African countries.

    Prof Amit Agrahari carries out research to understand how information technology is shaping and getting shaped by the human society. His research questions are guided by his consulting experiences. His recent research papers and teaching case are listed below.
