    Operations Management

    Samir K Srivastava is a Professor (HAG) at IIML. He has over three decades of experience in research, teaching, academic administration, consulting and industry. He contributed significantly in industry in the initial part of his career while leading teams with diverse backgrounds and interests; and interacting with consultants and auditors. He was an internal facilitator for TPM implementation at Indo Gulf Corporation (AV Birla Group) leading it to win the TPM Excellence Award from JIPM Japan in the year 2000. He co-founded South Asia's first public procurement observatory (http://www.procurementobservatoryup.com). He has been a member of TPM Club of India, National Agricultural Innovation Project (Research on Production to Consumption Systems) and Sub-committee for Manufacturing Competitiveness (CII). He also serves as a member of the Scholarship Committee of the $ 2 million IIT (BHU) Foundation Access Fund managed by IIT (BHU) Foundation enabling scholarships to the underserved graduate students. Prof. Samir has carried out many successful funded research projects and consulting assignments, international training programmes and administrative responsibilities. He has published many research papers and co-authored two books. He serves on the Editorial Board of several International Journals and is an active referee for many journals of repute.His biographic profile appears in Marquis Who’s Who 2014 and Marquis Who’s Who 30th Pearl Anniversary Editions. His name figures among the top 2% scientists in the world based on career-long impact in the database created by US-based Stanford University each year since the beginning.

    Prof. Samir is a leading researcher in the areas of green and sustainable supply chains, public procurement, and reverse logistics. His work has about sixteen thousand citations in Google Scholar with a g-Index of 125,more than four thousand five hundred citations in Scopus with an H-Index of 19 and more than three thousand citations in Web of Science. He serves on the Editorial Board of several International Journals of repute and has been Chief Editor of Metamorphosis. Based on career-long impact, he figures among the top 2% scientists in the world in the database created by US-based Stanford University each year since the beginning.
